- How do you work?
For most of the wedding day, I work in an unobtrusive documentary style, capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Portraits and family/friend group photos are taken with effortless ease, and a little artistic direction from me. Knowing when to allow moments to unfold naturally or to step in to offer gentle direction is the key to an genuine and compelling photo collection.
- How far do you travel?
I travel throughout Italy and the UK. I am based in Canale, Roero, province of Cuneo in Piemonte, close to the cities of Alba, and Turin and the territories of Langhe and Moferrato.
- What will our photograph collection include?
Every wedding is different, and the collection is tailored to suit you. On a typical wedding day I will document from the morning preparations, through to the ceremony and reception, finishing with the first dance and party. Images of the venue, decorations and details are taken throughout the day, and family/friends group shots and photos of just the two of you are seamlessly integrated into your wedding day timeline.
- Will you help us pose?
When it comes to taking photos of just the two of you, I guide you in a way that is easy and natural, not forced or stiff. I create a space and guide you through an experience that allows you to be in the moment, so your romantic spark can shine.
- When we will receive our photos?
My turnaround time depends on the time of year, but on average your gallery will be available six weeks after your wedding.
- Do you edit and retouch the images?
I carefully edit and retouch each image by hand to preserve natural colours and tones. Any adjustments made are minimal. If you would like something retouched in a particular way, I always ensure to meet any specific requests.
- Does it matter if you haven’t photographed a wedding at our venue before?
Not at all! I always ensure to prepare meticulously. If I am new to the venue I will research it, and strive to visit in advance if possible. That being said, most of the location scouting and decision making happens on the wedding day, as the photos depend highly on the lighting situations of the day itself.
- Do you have a back up plan?
I always travel with multiple cameras, lenses and back up equipment. Each camera saves a duplicate copy of each image to two separate memory cards, ensuring your photos are a safe and backed up. As a matter of contingency, I have a network of other trusted professional photographers to call upon if necessary.
- Do you also photograph families and babies?
Yes!
- How do we enquire?
I book a limited amount of weddings each year so I can provide my full, undivided attention and artistic energy to every couple. If you are interested in working with me, please get in touch as soon as possible. I would love to hear about your story and vision.
